SKYLER SCOTT graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts with an
emphasis in directing from Western Washington University. While
attending WWU, Skyler was a theater instructor for the Summer Youth
Theater
Institute (SYTI), an educational theater program with students 1st thru
12th grades. For three years Skyler was the Managing Director of Center
Stage for St. George Musical Theater where he taught musical theater
courses to hundreds of students K-12. Skyler is a St. George native and
has performed in dozens of theater productions in our community. Some
of his favorite roles include Chauvelin in "The Scarlet Pimpernel" ,
Nanki
Poo in "The Mikado", and Cornelius Hackle in "Hello Dolly".
In 2005, Skyler
was one of only eight actors nationwide to be honored by the Kennedy
Center American Theatre Association with the Best of Festival Award for
his portrayal of Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde in Dixie State College's
production of "Jekyll and Hyde."
